The 1947 model is produced to the same shape as the original Levis 1947 501. These ‘Waist Dungarees’ are produced in a indigo rope dyed 60/40 - Zimbabwean/American blend 14oz double ring spun selvedge denim woven on narrow shuttle looms as used in the 30’s.
Each detail of the iconic 501 has been lovingly reproduced (apart from the obvious) with Button fly, hidden rivets, two-tonal stitching and deep blue colour making Sugar Canes homage to 1947 post war waist dungaree a hell of a jean to beat.
They have classic 40’s silhouette with a mid to high rise and straight ‘stovepipe’ leg which is full without being wide and an 8” leg opening.
These run true to size so by you actual waist size unsanforized, but with little to no shrinkage in the waist and minimal shrinkage in the leg.
