This hook front jacket was originally released in 1943, and is a lightweight but brilliantly warming military jacket. The outer of this model is cut from a 100% corded cotton which is durable and designed to break in brilliantly as it is worn, whilst the olive lining is a blanket wool with amazing warming capabilities. Between these two layers is a cellulose plastic inner lining which acts as an effective wind barrier, further enhancing the versatility of this jacket. The underarms feature steel grommet eyelets which provide great ventilation, and the front hook clasps have been carefully copied from the USN 1943 originals. Two period correct ‘D’ pockets have been added for functionality and a vintage woven makers label adorns the inside collar. This jacket has been sturdily made all the way through and heavy duty bar tacked at the stress points to ensure the longevity of its life span.
