The Californian is a classically styled 'half-belt' jacket inspired by the leather sports jackets of the 1930's & 40's. Based specifically on the jacket worn by Jack Nicholson in the 1966 'Hells Angels on Wheels' the Californian has a great fit, that can be worn close, or sized up for a looser fit, without losing any of the fit, shape or style.
Made from a superb Italian veg-tanned horsehide this jacket is the perfect weight and has been put through a gentle aging process that means it has been partially broken in, and drapes beautifully. The half belt gives the jacket a great shape, and the bi-swing back allows for a range of movement without being constricted. Lined with 'End-zone' twill this incredibly tough, lightweight fabric allows the jacket to been worn close keeping its slim silhouette and adjustable side cinches allow for a personalised fit for shape and layering.
An all round winner, this jacket has it all, from premium components and perfect styling to a supreme fit; most people when trying it on looked as if the jacket was tailored for them.
Depending on how the jacket is wanted to be worn, these can come up a little on the small side for modern sizing. If you are unsure contact the shop for more information.
