Chippewa Engineer Boot

Chippewa were one of the first originators of the Engineer boot back in the 1930's. Based around their 'English Riding Boot' last but made from thicker working leather it featured the minimal stitch design and tall close fitting shaft and buckle closures we instantly recognise.

Supposedly originally for firemen, or stokers aboard trains, the boots were designed to protect against the fierce heat given of from the furnace and flying red hot coals, their slick design and laceless construction leaving less places for an ember to catch and burn it's way into your foot.

Chippewas offer their 11" Engineer in a full grain leather and with a plain toe all the other design features have been recreated as well, with buckle fastenings stacked heel and welted construction these boots will last a lifetime and form to the shape of your foot for supreme comfort and age beautifully
