The epitome of classic, this chambray shirt will put most others to shame, styled on a U.S Navy issue pattern with the correct weight and colour to the fabric these shirts have become an everyday essential.
Chambray is taken from the French 'Cambrai', a small region in France where the cloth was first woven, it consists of different coloured, dense finely woven thread making up the warp and weft giving these shirts their light but durable qualities. Recommended in the 1831 edition or U.S Farmers Bulletin as the best shirt for the work in hand and adopted by the U.S Navy in 1901 through to the 60's the durable and enduing qualities of the chambray shirt means this is going no-where.
Buzz Rickson's offering is superb; from the quality of the 100% cotton densely woven dry chambray to the superb fit of these shirts no detail has been missed, right down to the original size and contacts no. stamped on the collar, these shirts are built to last and will soften and wear just like an original issues in 1944.
