Buzz Rickson U.S.N. Shawl Collar Denim Work Jacket

The US Navy blue denim work uniform was adopted on 11th June 1919, which consisted of a pull-over smock jacket and waist dungarees. However, by 1922,  field testing had proved the smock jacket was not fit for the job so was replaced by a buttoned front jacket with a shawl collar.
