The US Navy blue denim work uniform was adopted on 11th June 1919, which consisted of a pull-over smock jacket and waist dungarees. However, by 1922, field testing had proved the smock jacket was not fit for the job so was replaced by a buttoned front jacket with a shawl collar.
Buzz Rickson has reproduced this iconic and highly collectable U.S.N. SHAWL COLLAR DENIM WORK JACKET to superb standards, using a dry 10oz denim which will wear and fade exactly like the originals.
•10oz raw denim
•Two front patch pockets
•Embossed USN anchor buttons
